Cove Mail Your email, ready for AI.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains the intended privacy posture for Cove Mail, a macOS email client currently in development.

Information You Add to Cove Mail

Cove Mail may use account names, email addresses, server settings, mailbox names, message metadata, draft content, sent messages, message flags, search index data, and other mail content needed to provide the email client experience.

Credential Storage

Cove Mail is designed to store account passwords through macOS Keychain. Local app configuration should store account metadata and Keychain references rather than raw passwords.

Local-First Storage

Cove Mail is intended to keep cached metadata, account configuration, draft state, and review decisions on your Mac unless you explicitly export or move that data.

Local Automation

Cove Mail may expose local automation tools for compatible clients. These tools are intended to run through local transports, use scoped permissions, and require explicit review for write actions such as sending, deleting, moving, or changing folders.

Tracking and Advertising

Cove Mail is not intended to sell mail data, use mail content for advertising, or use tracking SDKs to profile you across apps or websites.

Your Choices

  • You control which accounts are added to Cove Mail.
  • You can remove account configuration from the app.
  • You can manage stored credentials in macOS Keychain.
  • You can choose whether to use local automation features when available.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
